Departure: Agadir / Route: Agdez – Merzouga – Dades Gorges – Marrakech - Agadir

Day 1: Agadir – Taroudant – Taliouine – Agdez
Departure from Agadir early in the morning. Travelling by 4X4 towards Taroudant which is known as “the little Marrakesh”. It is spectacular for its massive ramparts and beautiful medina. We continue to Taliouine, the heart of the saffron growing area of Morocco then onto Kourkouda and finally Taznakht, this small town is famous for its Berber carpets. The road continues to Agdez via Bouazzer to spend the first night in Kasbah Tamnougalte, the oldest Kasbah in the Dra’a Valley.
Day 2: Agdez – Merzouga
After breakfast we will visit the Kasbah itself before continuing through Tansikht towards Merzouga. We stop for lunch at a riad in N’Qob overlooking the mountains. Later we pass through Tazzarine, (featured in the film “Babel”) and reach the bivouac in Merzouga, here you will be greeted with a glass of Barber tea. After you have settled a little, we travel on camel back to watch the sun go down over the dunes, followed by dinner and the night in a nomad tent.
Day 3: Merzouga – Tinghir/Toudgha – Dades Gorges
With an early start, we will enjoy the idealic Sahara Desert sunrise. We will experience the spectacular colour of the dunes and the shadows of the rising sun. After breakfast you can enjoy a walk through the dunes before leaving for Tinghir and the Toudgha gorges where will stop for lunch. The road passes through Tinjdad and the Toudgha Valley. Here there are plenty of beautiful places to explore, along the river, through the gardens or up the road on the other side of the gorges. Later the itinerary continues to the Dades Valley and the Dades Gorges where we will spend the night in a hotel.
Day 4: Dades Gorges – Marrakesh
After breakfast a walk in the Dades Gorges is scheduled. The trip continues to Ouarzazate, going off road along the Boutaghar piste to visit Berber nomads in their caves and enjoy a glass of tea with them. From here we continue through the Valley of the Roses, famous for it’s Rose Festival in May, and past the Kasbahs of Skoura. The route goes on to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a World Heritage site and the backdrop for many Hollywood blockbusters. This is the most famous Kasbah in Morocco. From there the road continues towards Telouet, along the new asphalted road. Telouet is set right in the midst of the mountains and was once the location of the last Pasha of Marrakesh, El Glaoui, the highest pass in Africa, Tizi-n-Tichka was controlled. At the end of the afternoon we arrive in Marrakesh
Day 5: Marrakesh – Agadir
After breakfast the morning is spent with a guided tour of the sights of your choice before returning to Agadir after lunch.
