The auberge was the greatest place we stayed in Morocco. It wasn’t about fancy carpets or luxurious sheets, it was about a place where you feel connected to the universe. It’s at the end of the world, with the sand at the doors, with the sky incredible close and when you meet M’Barek you will understand. Hospitality is an understatement. We stayed only 1 night and when we left it was like we were leaving from a family member that we knew since forever. M’Barek is like a time-traveler and makes you realize what is important in life with his stories and wisdom. The food was great, the tea was great, the stories and the atmosphere were amazing. Imagine what it’s like to get to taste the nomad life and an understand of the concept of freedom. And a very touchy moment was when M’Barek sing at his guitar the Sahara blues.
We definitely need to return to this place.

We travelled to Mhamid for a daytrip to explore the dunes in the Sahara and to do some typical Tourist activities. Falling into Kasbah Dar Sahara accidentally was very lucky. The house was very clean, the host extra helpful and honest. We got a delicous freshly cooked meal and had a good time at the Kasbah. Then he took us on a tailored tour, wich we enjoyed very much. Unfortunately we did not have the time to stay over night, but what we have seen really convinced us, that this is a place we would have liked to stay longer, very authentic, as clean, as it can be in the desert, good wifi and a really sympathic and enthusiastic host.

We spent one night here and we had wonderful time. Our host was extremely nice – he joined us in a 5 hours trip in the desert. The food was great – we had salad, beef and chicken skewers, berber omelette and the regular Morocco breakfast. Great hospitality.

Mbarek is very nice person, he took care of everything with a smile. He customized our Sahara camel trek perfectly. Food, camels, tents, mint tea, bonfire, music…. every aspect of our two days with him was super, he made it an unforgettable experience for us. Highly recommend him.

The best trip ever. I met Mbarak in the city center from Marrakesh then we rent a car and went to the desert, the way until there was awesome, beautiful landscapes and during the travelling we’ve stopped sometimes for take some photos, eat nice food and we also had to sleep on the way before get the desert, it was a long but a amazing way. In the Sahara desert was everything nice, we went there from the M’hamid village by jeep and spent the night in a lovely and comfortable camp. there was wonderful, I can say another world, unique energy, nice people, really good and typical food, music, tea and some wine, there is a different way to drink wine, it worth to check out. MBarak (owner) more then a guide was a friend and also teached me a lot about their culture. Unfortunately I could spend only one night there, but I’m already making plans to come back and enjoy more that energy around there. That experience I really recommend for everybody.

Best in Mhamid. A wonderful experience. Mbarek has created a beautiful peaceful courtyard garden. He is a thoughtful host never in the way but there to make your stay the best. We all enjoyed meals with him his cooking was good and not expensive. Mbarek is a good communicator in French and English. As a guide he helped us to drive our 4×4 to a nearby group of dunes. Next time we come back we will arrange a longer desert trip with him. There are plenty of “guides” offering (pressuring a bit) in the village but Mbarek is trustworthy, knowledgeable, kind and born to the desert so we will choose to go with him.
